What We Are
We're modern Folk, living in the modern world, keeping faith with the Gods & Goddesses of the Celtic pantheon. We walk this Path in study, prayer, meditation and preparation, with the goal of fostering Self-Empowerment through Folklore study, Personal Salvation by deeds & action and Spiritual Growth from Ritual Work. We offer friendship to all Eurofolk who have rediscovered the Old Ways and once again walk in the footsteps of their European Ancestors. Our long-term mission is to create a thriving, safe and sustainable community of Druidfolk among the Neo-Pagans of the Pacific Northwest. Sláinte!
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
--The First Amendment of The Constitution
First and foremost, The Druid Church is an unincorporated, nonprofit church. The IRS acknowledges a church's tax-free exemption under the law, regardless if a church has filed for incorporation or not. We are not registered with -- nor "recognized" by -- the IRS and we do not intend to incorporate with them, nor enter into any contract with them at any time in the future. It is not a requirement, so we choose to not seek their consent or validation of our religious beliefs. Simply put, we are a church, not a business.
Below are links to some relevant sites so that you may see for yourself, in case you have doubts about the legality of your tax-deductible contributions. We are not lawyers and we do not offer this information as any type of legal counsel or advice. Right or wrong, it is simply our interpretation of a few IRS publications.

In light of the political targeting of conservative groups by the IRS, we feel it's in our best interest to avoid entering into any contract with them. Here are some links to articles that may be of interest, concerning unincorporated churches and the folly of 501(c)(3), take a look and decide for yourself. Again, this is not legal advice nor counsel, merely a small sampling of churches and what they've had to endure in pursuit of their beliefs:

To facilitate our sacred goals, we are currently learning about the art of mead-making through the practice of fermentation and basic chemistry. The end result provides us the de minimis libations needed for our Sacred Rituals and furthers our studies along the Wyrding Way.
